BitHub.Africa is a pioneering Web³ Community dedicated to accelerating adoption of Blockchain, AI, IoT & Proof-of-Work cryptocurrency protocols across global African communities. Operating under the umbrella of the larger Melanin brand, BitHub.Africa is integral to the Melanin Academy program. Through our community based iniatives, BitHub is actively training blockchain engineers to design and implement ground breaking distributed computing solutions such as Melanin Solar to solve key challenges facing African peoples globally.
Founded in December 2015 by John Wainaina Karanja and Christian Kakoba Mugisho, BitHub.Africa officially commenced operations on January 6, 2016. Since then, the organization has become a driving force in making blockchain technology a transformative tool for Africa, closely aligned with the overarching goals and vision of the Melanin brand.
